Workshop for Teachers


Matthew and Brendan held a workshop on Web 2.0 technologies for the city teachers of English.

Matthew shared the links to the video sharing sites: dotsub (videos with subtitles); englishcentral (speaking with videos; must register free!!!); teflclips (videos with lesson plans!!!). Then Matthew told the teachers about flashcards at quizlet; voxopop talk groups and a famous expert Nick Peachy.

Brendan spoke about blog platforms: livejournal; blogger; wordpress. His favourite blog platform is tumblr! He also spoke about the advantages of the microblog Twitter.

Matthew, Brendan and Bryan answered the teachers' questions about their language learning and teaching experiences.

American Folk Music


Our teachers, counselors and Access students enjoyed the concert of the guests from the USA. We were impressed by the humour and music of Brendon, Jordan, Gillian and Matthew!
Never imagined that the harp could become an instrument of 'Ramblin'' musicians!
