Fabulous Fay Fence

David Fay, English Language Officer, (The ELO, Moscow) presented one format of teaching/learning in such a fabulous way that we gave him a thunderous ovation! He spoke of public hearing. David used the old case of the installation Running Fence. During his speech we made a 'clothes line' of a perfect teacher's qualities.

Technology and Second Language Writing

John Mark King, Senior EL Fellow, presented new perspectives on second language writing.

Our American speakers demonstrated us how to share their presentations.

Open Days: Elena

Elena Lubnina from the ELO (Moscow) demonstrated the strengths of an 'ordinary' English language teacher.

She advertised the DVD "A Visual Guide" and the site lingvograd.

Elen made an online presentation of her site - elt.russia.ru.

The teachers also heard about three main projects of the ELO: Picture In America, Shaping the Way We Learn English and English for Visually Impaired Students.

Great Welcome For Joan

The campers are lucky to meet one more American guest - Joan Shin. Joan has taught the schoolkids and teens to "be aggressive when it comes to studying English..." Be energetic and learn English! See how Joan inspires the campers!

The campers sang songs, learned a lot and then even tasted some delicious open-faced peanut butter sandwiches.
