I believe it's a good thing to explore the USA Regions through the song. It's fascinating and gripping.

While listening to the song, dialogue or interview we recognise the definite accent of the speaker, the manner in which he or she pronounces separate words and phrases. Moreover, the audio record is easier to remember. Thus, the material learnt in this way will be memorised firmly.
